Yes, you can indeed connect the USB-C Wireless Micro to non-mobile devices, including computers and our very own RØDECaster Video. This versatility allows users to enhance their audio input capabilities beyond just mobile devices.
Using with a Computer:
Simply connect the Wireless Micro into one of the available USB-C ports of your computer or docking station. The Wireless Micro RX will appear as a microphone input in your sound preferences, then you're good to go!
Using with a RØDECaster Video:
Simply connect the Wireless Micro into either port 4 or 5 of your RØDECaster Video to get started. Please ensure you have USB 4 or 5 as an active channel in your audio menu, this can be done on the RØDECaster itself or via RØDE Central on desktop.
Using with a Camera:
The Wireless Micro is specifically engineered for use with devices that feature USB-C or Lightning connectors. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, which is the standard connection type most cameras require for audio input. As a result, the Wireless Micro is unable to transmit audio to cameras with 3.5mm audio inputs.
