The NT1 Signature Series is an XLR microphone and requires an audio interface to connect to a computer. The audio interface converts the analogue microphone signal into a digital signal that your computer can use for recording, streaming and online meetings.
What You Will Need
- A RØDE NT1 Signature Series microphone.
- A standard 3 pin XLR cable.
- An audio interface, such as the RØDE AI 1 or RØDECaster Pro II.
- A Windows or macOS computer.
Connect the NT1 Signature Series
- Connect the NT1 Signature Series to the audio interface using a standard 3 pin XLR cable.
- Connect the audio interface to your computer using its supplied USB cable.
- If you are using a condenser microphone, enable 48 V phantom power on the audio interface.
- Select the audio interface as the input device in your operating system or recording software.
- Open your preferred recording or streaming application and begin recording.
Compatible software: The NT1 Signature Series can be used with most Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), including Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Reaper and many other audio recording applications.
Once connected, the NT1 Signature Series can be used for music recording, podcasting, voice overs, streaming and online meetings.
Please note: The NT1 Signature Series cannot be connected directly to a computer using an XLR cable alone. An audio interface is required to provide microphone preamplification, analogue to digital conversion and phantom power.
