Due to the USB-C port on the iPhone 15, the VideoMic ME-L, which is equipped with a Lightning connector, is not natively compatible with this device. However, you can use the Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter to connect the iPhone 15 to the VideoMic ME-L.
Alternatively, we recommend considering the VideoMic ME-C, as it is equipped with a USB-C connection that is compatible with the USB-C port on the iPhone 15.
When the VideoMic ME-C is used with an iOS device and our RØDE Reporter application, the VideoMic Me-C will be detected as an 'External Microphone.' This recognition discrepancy results in a distinct lower input level volume compared to its performance on an Android device, where it is recognized as the 'VideoMic Me-C'.
We'd recommend updating the firmware VideoMic Me-C through an Android device with the RØDE Reporter app.
