Keeping your VideoMic ME L up to date ensures you have access to the latest features, improvements and compatibility updates. Firmware updates can be installed directly from your iPhone or iPad using the RØDE Reporter app.
Before You Begin
- Install or update the latest version of the RØDE Reporter app.
- Ensure your iPhone or iPad has at least 20% battery.
- Remove any phone case that may prevent the Lightning connector from seating correctly.
Download RØDE Reporter:
Update the Firmware
- Connect the VideoMic ME L directly to your iPhone or iPad.
- Open the RØDE Reporter app.
- Select Settings.
- Select Configure.
- If a firmware update is available, follow the on screen instructions to begin the update.
- Keep the microphone connected until the update has completed.
Please note: Do not disconnect the VideoMic ME L, close the RØDE Reporter app or allow your iPhone or iPad to power off while the firmware update is in progress.
Tip: Once the update has completed, your VideoMic ME L will be running the latest available firmware.
