To update the VideoMic ME-L using the RØDE Reporter app on an iOS device, follow the steps below.
Update using RØDE Reporter
Before you begin:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the RØDE Reporter app installed.
- You can download or update the app from the App Store, or via this link .

Connect the microphone
- Connect the VideoMic ME-L directly to your iOS device.
- Ensure any phone case is not interfering with the Lightning connection.

Open the RØDE Reporter app
- Launch the RØDE Reporter app on your iOS device.

Access firmware settings
- Open Settings in the app.
- Select Configure.
- If a firmware update is available, you will be prompted to begin the update.

Run the firmware update
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the update.
- Keep the VideoMic ME-L connected to your iOS device throughout the process.
- Ensure your iOS device has sufficient battery life (at least 20%).
- Do not disconnect the microphone or close the app during the update.

Wait for completion
- The app will show the update progress.
- The process may take a few minutes to complete.
Once the update is complete, your VideoMic ME-L will be running the latest firmware.
