The VideoMic GO II is powered entirely by plug in power, which is supplied by the connected camera, audio recorder or compatible mobile device. Because it receives power directly from the connected device, the microphone does not require an internal battery.
Plug In Power Requirements
The VideoMic GO II requires between 1 V and 5 V of plug in power to operate correctly. Most cameras, audio recorders and compatible mobile devices provide this automatically when the microphone is connected.
Tip: Since the VideoMic GO II does not use batteries, it is always ready to use whenever it is connected to a compatible device that supplies plug in power.
Please note: If the connected device does not supply plug in power, the VideoMic GO II will not operate. Refer to your device's user manual to confirm that plug in power is supported and enabled.
