This microphone requires plug in power between 1.5 V and 5 V from the connected device to operate correctly. If plug in power is disabled or unavailable, the microphone will not function.
Using the Microphone with a Camera or Audio Recorder
Before connecting the microphone, confirm that your camera or audio recorder supports plug in power and that it has been enabled. Refer to your device's user manual for instructions, as the setting location varies between manufacturers.
Using the Microphone with a Mobile Device
You can also connect the microphone directly to a compatible mobile device using the appropriate cable:
- For iPhone with a Lightning connector, use an SC15 or SC19 MFi certified cable.
- For Android devices or iPhone with USB C, use a USB C to USB C cable, such as the SC16.
Tip: Using the recommended RØDE cables helps ensure reliable power delivery and audio performance when connecting to mobile devices.
