The VideoMicro II requires plug in power from the connected device to operate. If you are not receiving audio, check that your camera, recorder or mobile device is supplying the required power and that the correct cable or adaptor is being used.
Check Plug In Power
The VideoMicro II requires between 1.5 V and 5 V of plug in power from the connected device.
- Open the audio settings on your camera or recorder.
- Confirm that plug in power is enabled for the microphone input.
- Reconnect the VideoMicro II and test the audio again.
Connecting to a Mobile Device
The VideoMicro II uses a TRS connection and is designed primarily for cameras and audio recorders. To connect it to a mobile device with a 3.5 mm TRRS input, use a compatible adaptor such as the SC4 or SC7.
Using a USB C or Lightning Device
For mobile devices without a 3.5 mm input, use the official USB C or Lightning to 3.5 mm adaptor supplied or recommended by the device manufacturer.
Generic third party adaptors may support headphones only and may not provide the microphone input or plug in power required by the VideoMicro II.
