If you are not receiving audio from your VideoMicro, first check that your camera or audio recorder is supplying plug in power and that you are using the correct cable or adaptor for your device.
Check Plug In Power
The VideoMicro requires between 1.5 V and 5 V of plug in power from the connected device to operate.
- Open the audio settings on your camera or audio recorder.
- Confirm that plug in power is enabled for the microphone input.
- Reconnect the VideoMicro and test the audio again.
Connecting to a Mobile Device
The VideoMicro uses a TRS connection and is designed primarily for cameras and audio recorders. To connect it to a mobile device with a 3.5 mm TRRS input, use a compatible adaptor such as the SC4 or SC7.
These adaptors work with most mobile devices, but compatibility may vary with computer and laptop audio inputs.
Using USB C or Lightning Devices
If your mobile device does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, we recommend using the official USB C or Lightning to 3.5 mm adaptor supplied or recommended by the device manufacturer.
