Matched NT1 and NT1-A microphone pairs from RØDE are not necessarily — and in most cases are not — sequentially serialised.
Serial numbers are engraved at the end of the machining process, before the electronics, acoustic components, and quality assurance stages.
After assembly and testing, a select percentage of microphones (depending on the model) are acoustically matched and paired together to create matched-pair kits.
Each matched pair includes a signed and dated certificate that lists the two serial numbers that have been matched.
