If your AI-Micro isn't recording audio, the issue may be caused by outdated firmware, an incompatible app, a loose connection or the connected device. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to identify the cause.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Update your AI-Micro to the latest firmware using RØDE Central.
- Connect the AI-Micro to a different computer, phone or tablet to determine whether the issue is specific to your original device.
- Test the AI-Micro with a different recording application. We recommend using the RØDE Reporter app where available.
- Check that your microphone is fully inserted into one of the AI-Micro's 3.5 mm microphone inputs.
- Connect headphones to the AI-Micro and enable audio monitoring in your recording app. If you can hear your microphone, the AI-Micro is receiving audio correctly.
Tip: Testing the AI-Micro with another device and another recording app is one of the quickest ways to determine whether the issue is caused by the interface, the recording software or the connected device.
Please note: Some mobile devices and recording applications require microphone permission before they can access external audio devices. If prompted, ensure microphone access is allowed.
