The HDMI to USB-C Converter is a useful tool that allows you to capture an HDMI video input and convert it to a UVC Webcam signal over USB. For connecting to a computer, this will allow you to capture both video and audio signals simultaneously over the same cable.
However, there is a limitation with the RØDECaster Video being that the converter can only provide a video signal to the device without audio.
This is because the RØDECaster Video's USB inputs can only accept either an audio or video input, and not both at once.
Due to this, we recommend reserving USB inputs 4/5 on a RØDECaster Video for video sources which do not require audio, such as additional camera angles, and using the combo jacks or HDMI inputs for audio instead.
