One of the reasons why the internal onboard recordings on the Wireless transmitter (TX), Such as the Wireless GO II or Wireless PRO kits, may have a different volume than the receiver's (RX) output is due to the camera's preamp. The preamp in the camera adds more gain to the audio signal, resulting in a higher volume when recording directly to the camera.
The Wireless TX is designed to consistently record audio at a fixed level. This means that regardless of any adjustments made to the RX gain level, it will not impact the onboard recording level of the TX unit. The RX gain level adjustment specifically affects the output level of the audio signal through the RX 3.5mm output.
When using a RØDE Wireless kit, it's recommended to adjust the audio levels on both the transmitter and receiver to ensure a balanced and consistent volume. Additionally, it's advisable to monitor the audio levels through headphones or other audio monitoring devices to ensure optimal audio quality.
