To set up a multitrack recording with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) using the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo, you will first need to ensure you're on the most recent firmware, specifically from version 1.4.4, on your RØDECaster devices.
This version is crucial for enabling the multitrack functionality, which allows you to manage your audio inputs more effectively during streaming or recording sessions.
Once you have updated your firmware, you can proceed to configure the virtual devices within OBS.
If you're planning to utilise individual channels for all your inputs, we recommend looking to our Virtual Devices option.
By enabling the Expanded option in the multitrack settings of OBS, you will gain access to individual audio tracks for each input coming from the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo. This feature is particularly useful for podcasters and streamers who wish to have greater control over their audio mix.
When using the Expended Virtual Device channles, we recommend using "System (RØDECaster)" as your primary stereo input in OBS.
