When you receive the RØDECaster Pro II, it is essential that you update the firmware via WIFI, Mobile hotspot or Ethernet network before you being to use it with your setup.

After the initial firmware update, you can connect the RØDECaster Pro II to the RØDE Central desktop app (via USB1 port) and If you leave your RØDECaster Pro II connect to the WIFI or Ethernet network, when there is a new firmware update available you will be prompted on the RØDECaster Pro II.
